Exploring Madrid!

Such a huge city, but it is completely gorgeous!

San Jerónimo el Real

The San Jerónimo el Real church was built in 1505. Obviously, it is beautiful.

      El Retiro Park

El Retiro Park is the Central Park of Madrid. It is a little piece of tranquility in a crowed tourist filled city.

The Streets are even beautiful here! They are really small though and a lot of times there is not a curb where the sidewalk begins. This and the fact that all the streets are made of cobblestone is probably why I have almost been hit by multiple cars. I just don't know where the sidewalk ends and the road begins!

Also, street signs are on the buildings, not sticking out of the ground. Most street signs don't have pictures, but this one is definitely necessary.

Seriously everything here is different than home. Even the police cars are tiny non intimidating vehicles.

This is a normal sight to see. People live in tiny apartments here. I have not seen one personal garden yet, well, besides the balcony gardens.

First drink in Spain! Naturally, it's a mojito.
